(KILLEEN, TEXAS): Killeen appears on a national list of cities with the largest crime decreases between 2010 and 2015. Killeen ranked number 12 on the list of 96 cities with a reduction in crime more than the national average of eight percent. Killeen’s reduction was 21 percent.
FindTheHome, a real estate data site, studied crime data in United States cities with populations over 100,000. Utilizing FBI Uniform Crime Reporting statistics, analysis compared the crime rate average from 2010 to 2012 to the crime rate average from 2013 to 2015 and measured the percentage decrease. 2015 is the most recent full year of data.
The crime rate data studied included both violent and property crime statistics.
