Applications are now being accepted for Leadership Killeen 2016. Leadership Killeen is the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce’s definitive program specifically focused on helping to develop our community’s future leaders. The course engages local leaders with organization leaders to produce a shared vision of the future and the opportunity to see it fulfilled.

Leadership Killeen is designed to identify, educate and motivate emerging community and business leaders about the various facets of local and state governments, as well as quality of life issues for the Greater Killeen area. It prepares participants to achieve goals by coming together as a team. Participants are given the opportunity to make a difference in our community by identifying an area of need in the community. Developing and executing a plan of action as a means of support for the identified need becomes a class supported project during the leadership course.

Leadership Killeen meets one day each month beginning September, 2016. The class will experience curriculum involving Fort Hood, Education, Quality of life as well as Healthcare, Business & Economic development and both Local and State government. The sessions will combine information, problem solving, and leadership development. Since 1986, the program has been a great opportunity to become involved in the Killeen community, giving participants further exposure to the community itself as well as offering them a wealth of business related knowledge.

Tuition is $450 for Chamber Investors at the Build level or higher; cost for all others is $500. The deadline to apply is August 12 2016. For more information about Leadership Killeen or to request an application, please contact Shashawnah Smith at 254-526-9551 or ssmith@gkcc.com.
