Every spring, young entrepreneurs around the world set up lemonade stands to make a little money, but more importantly, to learn life skills such as goal setting, planning and leadership. Fort Hood Area Lemonade Day is proud to announce the following winners for 2015.

Entrepreneur of the Year

Katrina Lawrence is Lemonade Day Fort Hood Area’s Entrepreneur of the Year for 2015! This 11-year-old girl started Lemonade 4 Literacy to raise money to buy books for homeless children in the Fort Hood/Killeen area. She chose the book Whatif Monster to help children learn to overcome adversity and fight the anxiety of wondering of what other people might think. Katrina’s goal is to donate 300 books to the H.A.R.P. program by the end of summer, and she’s well on her way!

Best Stand Contest Winners

Zane Gerdeman and Rylan Thomas won first place in the Best Stand Contest with their Minecraft Brewing Stand. Minecraft is a videogame where you place and break blocks in a 3D world. They created different “potions” of lemonade for their customers to give them specific “powers.”

Randi Davis won second place in the Best Stand Contest with her Flamingo Hawaiian stand. She had three different flavors of lemonade and key lime spritz cookies.

Emilee Sinner won third place in the Best Stand Contest with her spectacular fruit fusion. Her stand name was inspired by her Fusion shoes.
