The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce Public Education Council will be hosting two Career Day events for 8th Grade and High School students to learn more about different career options. Business representatives are needed to give presentations about their field and answer student questions.
8th Grade Career Day is February 16-18 and will introduce approximately 2,800 students to the KISD Career Center and help them determine the correct high school pathway. Business professionals are needed to talk about their field and answer student questions. Each representative will present one day for three forty minute increments during the morning and three forty minute increments during the afternoon. Representatives are needed from the career clusters listed below:
- Arts, A/V & Communications
- Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources
- Architecture & Construction
- Manufacturing – Transportation
- Government
- Law & Public Safety
- Health Science
- Hospitality – Marketing
- STEM
- Education & Training
- Business Management – Finance
- IT
- Human Service
Regional High School Career Day is February 26 and will connect approximately 400 students from schools in the Central Texas area to business professionals in a variety of fields. Representatives are needed to speak with groups of 5-7 students in a round table format about their career path. Students will participate in three twenty minute rounds before lunch and twenty minute rounds after lunch. Click on the links below to register or read more about each program.
