The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce will host its 82nd Annual Membership Banquet on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6-9 pm at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. All Chamber members are invited to attend this event.
This is our area's most prestigious gathering of the business community and our opportunity to celebrate our members. Guests include chamber members, business executives, and Fort Hood, government and community VIPs. The evening begins at 6 pm with a cocktail hour, then a delicious dinner is served, the annual awards are presented, and the event concludes with an exciting speaker. The annual awards that will be presented are Nonprofit of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, and the Roy J. Smith Award, given to an individual for lifelong contribution to improving the Central Texas area.
This year’s speaker will be Philip Walker, AICP and Principal of The Walker Collaborative, an urban planning consulting firm based in Nashville, TN. Phil has thirty years of experience in planning in both the public and private sectors, specializing in historic preservation and downtown revitalization. He will discuss our community’s unique history, and how it can be leveraged to create a sense of place and improve quality of life, factors that will ultimately result in making our community more economically competitive.
Individual tickets are $60 and tables of 8 are $550. Chamber members can contact Nichole Anderson, nichole@killeenchamber.com or 526-9551, or click here to purchase tickets or tables.
